DOG PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP

First three days special, unique and intense workshop in the World completely dedicated to the Dogs in Action in a beautiful location in St. Louis. Here the participants will have the chance to learn everything about action photography and photograph some of the best dogs ever in several sports like Disc Dog, Diving dogs, Agility dog, runnings dogs living two days completely in action with dogs and one day in post processing with Photoshop 2020.

I will be hosted by one of the best world and known names in dog's sport: Sara Brueske that will be also our model with her beautiful and amazing dogs!!!

MAIN OBJECTIVES OF THE WORKSHOP

MEET CLAUDIO PICCOLI

A 48-year old, dog photographer form Italy, Claudio bears the title of Master Photographer “Dogs in Action” in the Nikon School, and is a Nikon Italia Ambassador. 

Claudio conducts photography workshops all over the world. He has held more than 50 workshops in many different countries including Italy, Austria, Switzerland, France, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, Poland, Estonia, Finland, Canada, Israel, United Kingdom and more. He also offers private coaching and mentoring for professional photographers. 

Claudio was a speaker in the largest photography conference in the world in 2018. Claudio is the winner of several awards from the largest international photography competitions like SIPA contest, OASIS contest, and more. 

Claudio lives with 4 border collies (Tris, Leep and Chester in the picture, and Jill) and share his mission about how to live better working with dogs in action in photography around the World.

MEET THE HOST SARA BRUESKE

Sara Brueske has been training dogs for over 15 years, and has experienced a large variety of breeds and sports during that time. After graduating as a Karen Pryor Academy Certified Training Partner in 2011, she jumped into the professional dog training world. Currently, she is active in the sports of disc dog, agility, mondioring and dock diving as well as being a trick dog enthusiast.

 

Sara and her dogs demonstrate the sports of disc, agility and dock diving in over 200 dog sport shows for the public each year at Purina Farms in Grey Summit, MO and they compete nationwide.

 

Her disc dog accomplishments include 2016 and 2017 UpDog International Finals Freestyle Champion and 2016 UPDIF Versatility Champion. Sara loves being behind the camera as well, taking photographs of dog sport teams from all over the country.

SATURDAY SCHEDULE

8:00 a.m. - 12:00 a.m.

Theory about photography and dogs in action (basic topics, advanced topics, settings in action in different Dogs sport, framing, compositions, analysis of right and wrong pictures, analysis of some before and after post processing)

12:00 a.m. - 12:45 p.m.

Lunch break (lunch not provided - recommend sandwiches in field)

12:45 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Transferring to the shooting location

1:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.

First shooting in Agility dog putting into practice the concepts seen in the morning with dogs in action. 
Individual analysis of each Workshop participant during the shooting time. 
Briefing on difficulties encountered during the shooting and strategies for improvement for the next hours of shooting. 

3:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.

Second shooting on the field with Diving dogs. 
Refining the shot and individual analysis of taken images during the shooting time. 

SUNDAY SCHEDULE

8:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.

First shooting of the day in Disc Dog with toss and catch.

Individual analysing of the pictures taken to achieve something really strong without compromise.

10:30 a.m. - 12:45 a.m.

Second shooting of the day in Disc Dog with freestyle figures.

12:45 p.m. - 1:15 p.m.

Lunch break (lunch not provided - recommend sandwiches in field)

1:15 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.

 Briefing on difficulties encountered during the shooting in freestyle and strategies for improvement for the next hours of shooting. 

1:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Third shooting of the day in Disc Dog with complete freestyle routine with a competition simulation to put participants in more difficult conditions.

3:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. 

Fourth shooting of the day in the forest (with running dogs) in more difficult conditions to face real problems to improve the technique of each one solving individual issues. 
Refining the shot and individual analysis of taken images during the shooting time. 

MONDAY SCHEDULE

8:30 a.m. - 12:00 a.m.
Post Processing with Photoshop 2020 and my workflow (my personal Book edition 4.0 2020 with the copy of the workflow will be released to everyone during the workshop to allow all participants to follow the Workshop better and to replicate it later during the day and at home) - (each participant will bring his or her own PC/notebook to follow and put into practice the post processing).

Individual instruction during the post processing section to fix specific and individual issues.

Price and payments: 1.900 euro (a deposit of 900 euro is required in the moment of the registration - the remaining final balance of 1.000 euro must be paid no later than 45 days before the date of the workshop to confirm the participation). During the "check out" you will be asked to pay with PayPal or Credit Card, but if you prefer to pay with a Bank TRansfer, just write me and I will send you the info of the bank account (IBAN).

After every payment you will receive an invoice.

All payments are not refundable as we have limited registration slots.

Equipment required: DSLR or mirrorless camera with interchangeable lens (focal length from 200 to 300mm or equivalent are perfect. This means that these lenses are ok: 70-200mm, 70-300mm, 200mm, 300mm) and a laptop for the post processing.

What is not included: overnight stay, meals and everything not written above.

Photography level required: from beginners to expert (professional photographers too).It’s important to know at least how to use and change the basic camera settings (shutter speed, aperture and ISO) on your own camera (it’s written in the user manual of the camera).A bit of knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom is advisable but not mandatory. (We will use the last version of Photoshop and if you don't have it, I will ask you to download a free trial version before the WS).

Any BONUS? YES! After the Workshop, I will add you in a closed group dedicated to all participants that attended at least one of my Workshops in the past, where we talk about business, tips and issues to fix in photography (post processing too). It’s a group dedicated to the participants where LIKES are not important. People are there to learn more and more for their business or just to be motivated or helped.
