Terms and Agreements
Last updated: 10 September 2026
1. Who you are booking with
The workshops described on this website are organised and sold by:
CAVALDOG SRL
Via Pavone 24/1, 10010 Banchette (TO), Italy
VAT / P.IVA: IT13078360016
Email: support@claudiopiccoli.com
CAVALDOG SRL trades under the name Dogs in Action Photography by Claudio Piccoli. Claudio Piccoli teaches the workshops and acts as the legal representative of the company. In these Terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean CAVALDOG SRL; "you" means the person who books a place.
2. What these Terms are
These Terms form the contract between you and us for your participation in a workshop. By completing your registration you confirm that you have read them and that you accept them.
You must be at least 18 years old to book a place.
Online courses and the community subscription are governed by separate Terms and Conditions, available on their own page.
3. What a workshop is
A workshop is a live, in-person photography course held on specific dates and at a specific location, with a limited number of places.
The page of each workshop states the dates, the location, the number of places, the level required, the price, and what is included.
Unless the workshop page says otherwise, the price does not include travel, transfers, accommodation, meals, entry fees to locations, photographic equipment, or insurance of any kind.
Programmes are planned around dogs, handlers and daylight. We may adjust the schedule, the shooting locations or the order of the sessions when weather, light, animal welfare or the safety of the group requires it. The teaching content and the total duration remain those announced.
4. Booking and payment
Your place is confirmed when we receive your payment and send you a confirmation by email. Places are assigned in order of confirmed payment.
Where the workshop page offers a deposit followed by a balance, the balance is due by the date stated on that page. If the balance is not paid by then, and you do not answer our reminder, we may release your place and treat the deposit under Article 6.
Payments are processed by our payment providers. We do not hold your card number.
5. Right of withdrawal
A workshop is a leisure service supplied on a specific date. For contracts of this kind, Article 59(1)(n) of the Italian Consumer Code (Legislative Decree 206/2005) provides that the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply. This is the law, not a waiver you are asked to sign: your place is held for you on a fixed date and cannot be resold at short notice.
What you do have instead is the transfer right in Article 6, which is ours to give and which we do give.
If you are a consumer resident outside the European Union and the law of your country of residence gives you a cancellation right we have not described here, that right applies and we will honour it. Write to us.
6. If you can no longer attend
Places are limited and a place left empty cannot be recovered, so we do not refund cancellations. But you are not left with nothing:
-
You may transfer your place to another person, at no cost, at any time up to the start of the workshop. Tell us the name and email of the person taking it. They must meet the same level requirement and accept these Terms.
-
If you cannot find anyone, tell us as early as you can and we will try to fill the place from our waiting list. If we succeed, we refund what you paid, less the payment-processing fees actually incurred on your booking and on the refund, which we will show you.
-
If the place cannot be filled, no refund is due.
Cancelling or transferring does not release you from a balance already due for a place we could not fill.
7. If we cancel or move the workshop
If we cancel a workshop, for any reason, you choose between:
-
a full refund of everything you have paid us, made within 14 days; or
-
a place on another date of the same workshop, with any difference in price settled either way.
If we have to move a workshop to different dates, you may accept the new dates or take a full refund on the same terms.
In both cases the refund covers what you paid us. It cannot cover what you spent with third parties, flights, hotels, car hire. This is why we recommend booking refundable travel or taking travel insurance, and why we announce dates as early as we can and confirm them well before departure.
8. Your safety, your insurance, your responsibility
Workshops take place outdoors, on uneven ground, around moving dogs. You take part on your own initiative and you are responsible for your own conduct, for your equipment, and for any damage you cause to people, animals or property.
You must have your own personal accident and third-party liability insurance covering your participation, and travel insurance where you travel to attend. We may ask you to confirm that you do.
We are not liable for damage you cause, for damage caused to you by another participant or by a third party, or for loss or damage to your equipment. What we remain liable for is set out in Article 12.
Please tell us before the workshop about anything that affects your ability to take part safely, so that we can organise the sessions accordingly.
9. The dogs
The dogs you photograph belong to their owners and handlers, who remain responsible for them.
Animal welfare comes before any photograph. The instructor decides when a dog rests, when a session ends, and whether a situation is safe. That decision is not open to discussion during the session.
Do not touch, feed, call or handle a dog without the consent of the person handling it.
If you bring your own dog, and only where the workshop page says you may, it must be sociable with people and other dogs, under your control at all times, vaccinated, and insured for third-party liability. We may ask you to keep a dog out of a session if it is distressed or if it puts others at risk.
10. The photographs you take
The photographs you take during the workshop are yours. You own the copyright.
You may use them for personal purposes: your social media, your personal website, your portfolio, prints for yourself, and entries in your own professional profile.
You may not:
-
license, sell or transfer them to third parties, whether for payment or free of charge;
-
use them to promote your own photography teaching, workshops, courses, mentoring, tutorials, in person or online;
-
enter them in photographic competitions.
When you publish an image made during a workshop on social media, please state in the caption that it was taken during a photography workshop with Claudio Piccoli, and tag the account on the platform you are using.
To thank the owners who bring their dogs, we ask you to share your images with them: send us a link to an online gallery, or at least one photograph of each dog, and we will pass it on.
11. Our teaching content
The structure of the workshop, the exercises, the written materials, the presentations and any recording of the sessions belong to us and are protected by copyright.
You may not record the teaching sessions in audio or video, and you may not copy, publish, share or redistribute the materials we give you.
12. Our liability
We are liable for damage we cause you by failing to perform this contract, in accordance with the law.
We do not limit or exclude our liability for death or personal injury caused by our fault, for intent or gross negligence, or in any other case where the law does not allow it. Nothing in Article 8 is intended to do so.
Beyond those cases, and to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profits or lost commercial opportunities, and our liability is limited to the price you paid for the workshop.
13. Complaints
Please write to support@claudiopiccoli.com. Tell us what happened and what you would like us to do about it. We answer every complaint.
If we cannot agree, you may refer the dispute to an out-of-court dispute resolution body under Articles 141 and following of the Consumer Code, for example the conciliation service of the Chamber of Commerce competent for our registered office. Using it is voluntary and does not prevent you from going to court.
14. Applicable law and competent court
This contract is governed by Italian law.
If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country in which you habitually reside, and any dispute may be brought before the court of the place where you reside.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may change these Terms for future bookings. Changes apply to bookings made after they are published and do not change the terms of a booking already confirmed.
The date at the top of this page shows the version in force.
16. Personal data
We process your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.
Photographs and video are made during workshops for teaching and promotional purposes. You will be asked to sign a separate image release, in which you consent, or refuse consent, to each use. Refusing does not affect your participation in any way.
